Mark Pennington (Senior Lecturer - Political Economy, Department of Politics, Queen Mary, University of London) gave the lecture, ‘Against Europe’s Green Leviathan’, where he investigated whether a centralised and harmonised EU environmental policy is necessary and whether a process of decentralised bargaining between nation states might actually prove more efficient in solving environmental problems.
