At this lunch co-hosted by Global Vision and Civitas, Chris Heaton-Harris MEP and Dr David Green (Director, Civitas) discussed issues surrounding the Europeanisation of culture and education throughout the EU, including the EU's increasing involvement in funding and dictating the ‘European Dimension' of British education.

13 November 2007, Lunch seminar with Angela Browning MP
Our distinguished guest, Angela Browning MP, gave an excellent talk and led the debate on whether the political will exists in the UK to change the European Union.

7 November 2007, Lunch Seminar with Matthew Elliott and Lee Rotherham
Matthew Elliott (Co-founder and Chief Executive, Taxpayers’ Alliance) and Dr Lee Rotherham (Linguist, Historian and EU Expert) discussed the latest edition of their book, The Bumper Book of Government Waste, which finds the European Union taking up a larger chapter in each edition. 

27 September, Lunch Seminar with Dr Mark Pennington
Mark Pennington (Senior Lecturer - Political Economy, Department of Politics, Queen Mary, University of London) gave the lecture, ‘Against Europe’s Green Leviathan’, where he investigated whether a centralised and harmonised EU environmental policy is necessary and whether a process of decentralised bargaining between nation states might actually prove more efficient in solving environmental problems.

Economist Keith Boyfield gave an excellent lecture on the EU’s Financial Services Action Plan and it’s impact on the City of London.
